Woodtone Bluegrass Series Acoustic Guitar Strings are gauged halfway between lights and mediums. This set is also mid-tension for extra tone and volume to cut through the mix at bluegrass jams.

We designed these strings to have a warm and traditional tone for playing bluegrass music.

This set of strings features a precision wound phosphor bronze wire that is drawn around a hexagonally shaped high-carbon steel core to maintain proper tension and balance across all strings. Each string is lightly coated to ensure maximum string life without sacrificing tone.

Stings

Bluegrass strings are spongy. They are like a light string. I bought them for my dad who’s an old school bluegrass guy. They kind on mind me of the retros Martin has. But for a bluegrass guitar that’s not plugged in, they are not very good. If you play alone and plugged in you might like them. Overall, they just are not good. And trust me, I was hoping they were.
