My new favourite strings.

My first experience with these strings really impressed me. It's only been a week, but the tone of these strings still sound as good as they did on day one and judging by the reviews I still have a long way before they start to lose their "new string resonance". Flatpicking wears stings out faster than strumming so it's nice to have strings that have staying power for a change.

Brought new life

I didn't realize the tone i was missing until i put these strings on my Martin 000. What a difference, and not just because they were new strings. The slight step up in string thickness from the regular light gage strings definitely made the guitar sound fuller with a touch more volume. Will be sticking with these strings.

I absolutely love my new woodtone strings! Beautiful rich tone. My guitar is nothing fancy, have had it for over 20 years and the woodtone strings have given her a beautiful new sound and tone. Will purchase again. Thank you!

Returning to Woodtone strings

After trying Woodtone strings over a year ago I’m going back to using them again. I’ve played bluegrass for 55 of the 58 years I have been playing. Most of my acoustics would be considered of the vintage type. Martins and Gibsons with a few newer brands mixed in from Larrivee, Taylor and Eastman. I find the “low tension” medium light strings perfect for my 1953 D18 , 1965 D28 and early 1960s Hummingbird. I tested Woodtone against all major brands. I don’t want any strings not made in the USA. I found Woodtone’s last long enough, sounded better and cost less vs coated strings. They were far better than cheaper uncoated bench type strings. I need consistency from strings I use and wasn’t getting that from the strings I use that were made in Mexico…So I have Woodtone’s on the way. I plan to use low tension on older acoustics and bluegrass strings on some newer guitars plus try out the nickel infused strings.
