Very warm sounding strings that play well…
Low tension is cool, and in between lights and mediums….the sweet spot…

The Tortoise shell colored flatpicks in 1.5mm are fantastic. I’m on my 2nd or 3rd batch because I have them all over the house and have given some away. Sound great on my D18 and D28. The 3 batches I have received are actually 1.3mm thick and not a full 1.5mm. Same with the next thickness down…they actually measure 1mm thick…so not sure how they came up with the thicknesses to list on the packages but I measured with several devices and they all agree with 1.0 and 1.3mm. Nonetheless, they are beautiful picks that sound great! Highly recommend!

I like that the pick is a bright white; which is easy for me to find when I drop it. Good quality material and hand shaped to the best angle for picking.

Found these about 3 years ago, and I will not put anything else on my acoustic guitars. Love the sound and feel of these strings. I have a Tach and Fender and both sound amazing with these strings.

Great Strings and a really aimple install!

I bought a set of these and put them a mandolin that gets a lot of use in rehearsals. They were on there for 9 months before they started sounding like they were getting ready to need replacement. Now, in full disclosure I do not suffer from finger death sweat and strings do last longer for me. But these are some very good strings.

Nicely beveled pick. Doesn’t have much of any harsh pick sound as you come off a string. Thick enough to have a good grip, especially with the holes. I’d recommend this pick

Tried a triangle pick previously and wasn’t enthralled. Got these Woodtone picks and fell in love with them! Great picks for me!!

I really like these guitar picks. They add warmth to my tone and brings out the middle range. Which I like.

These strings sound great, play great! Haven’t had them long enough to check their durability and corrosion resistance.

My Martin HD-28 sounds darn pretty good with new strings, regardless of brand. However, these custom nickel-infused strings really changed the tone - strong and not too bright! I wouldn't necessarily describe them as warm, but nice and even across the frequencies - and very powerful sounding. I am extremely happy! Btw, I don't think I've ever reviewed strings before...

I am unsure, as yet, about a 1mm pick, but this pick is distinctive in that there is no "snappy plastic" sound that emits from any picking or strum. I am impressed!

Pick feels great in my hand. I like the warmth of the tone both acoustic and electric.

I've included a photo of my current favorite "non-boutique" picks: the Golden Gate "Clown Barf" stiff, the Dunlap Primetone 1.5mm, the Dunlop Ultex 1.14mm, and the Woodtone Large Triangle Tortoise 1.5mm. Each has its place, and I cannot say that any one of them is "best." It depends on the instrument and what sound I'm needing at the time. These picks are all the same relative size, but with slight differences in the points, texture, and thickness. The Woodtone pick is more rounded, which provides a bit more mellow sound. Of these four, the Woodtone has the slickest surface and can be prone to slipping. (I know Woodtone offers a pick with holes drilled in them, and I plan to attempt that with one of the six picks that came in the package.
I am very happy with the look, feel, and sound of these Woodtone picks and gladly recommend them. This particular model fills a specific niche that you just might be looking for.
