Woodtone takes a place among my favorites!

I've included a photo of my current favorite "non-boutique" picks: the Golden Gate "Clown Barf" stiff, the Dunlap Primetone 1.5mm, the Dunlop Ultex 1.14mm, and the Woodtone Large Triangle Tortoise 1.5mm. Each has its place, and I cannot say that any one of them is "best." It depends on the instrument and what sound I'm needing at the time. These picks are all the same relative size, but with slight differences in the points, texture, and thickness. The Woodtone pick is more rounded, which provides a bit more mellow sound. Of these four, the Woodtone has the slickest surface and can be prone to slipping. (I know Woodtone offers a pick with holes drilled in them, and I plan to attempt that with one of the six picks that came in the package.
I am very happy with the look, feel, and sound of these Woodtone picks and gladly recommend them. This particular model fills a specific niche that you just might be looking for.
The Woodtone Strings company is doing an amazing job of order fulfillment and customer service. My order came promptly and I received great notes from the company to make sure I was satisfied with the purchase.

Good picks

I have been playing these for about two weeks and quite like them. I ordered the mixed set of large tortoise picks. I prefer heavier picks, especially on electric guitar, so I’m mostly playing the 1.5mm picks. On acoustic guitar, the lighter picks are great for strumming but I still prefer heavier for lead work. The large picks are a little bigger than what I normally use on electric guitar, so I have ordered medium and small picks to try out. One pleasant surprise…I find these very easy to hold onto.

Beautiful picks but they don’t have the sound projection I was looking for on my high B and E strings. I find these to be really warm and almost muted compared to my other brand picks at the same mm. Beautiful to look at though and the size is great!

Love my new Wood Tone String Picks

Go them in the mail and like them just as much as the "Dawg" picks that I have at a fraction of the cost. Love them.
