poor tone, quality, clunky, and stiff.

Not at all what I expected I ordered the thinnest version I could yet it’s still very stiff and clunky with very poor tone quality. Will not be re-ordering.

We’re sorry to hear that our Woodtone FlexGrip® Triangle Guitar Picks weren't what you expected! It sounds like you prefer extremely thin picks, as the version you ordered is 0.78mm—while thin, it still offers a bit more rigidity for enhanced control and durability. Most of our customers enjoy the full and rich tone that slightly thicker picks provide, especially for country and bluegrass styles, where clarity and warmth are key. We appreciate you giving them a try, and if you're ever looking for something different, we’d love to help you find the right pick for your playing style!

Great picks for the money!

Not for Mandolin

These are way too thin for mando. Tone is good but just soft. I use a 1mm Wegan which is not crazy thick. If these were 2x thicker they'd be fine.

Thanks for your review, MadTom. We appreciate your thoughts, however, we respectfully disagree. We actually prefer this pick for playing mandolin. It has just enough flex to give you great feel but not too much flex to slow you down. It also has amazing tone for picking lead and the best part is how it makes chop rhythm sound on mandolin. A lot of thicker picks tend to have a 'clacking' sound on mandolin. Our FlexGrip picks don't have the clacking sound while still giving you a loud, clear, and natural tone. They are .78mm which is just .22mm shy of 1mm, and 2x thicker would make them 1.56mm on the thicker side of picks, which is totally fine and good, but in this particular pick shape, we did a ton of testing at various thicknesses and .78mm was by far the best in our opinion. As you can see in our other customer reviews, we regularly receive 5 stars from mandolin players saying it is their favorite pick. Thanks for trying them out though! We're currently designing a thicker pick that might be more inline with your preferences, so keep an eye out for it in the near future. Appreciate it!

Woodtone Picks

Absolutely love these pics! Very comfortable and great sound with minimal string noise. My favorite pick and I’ve been playing for 50 years! I used to use Dunlop 73 mm, but these are going to be my pick of choice going forward!

Great picks!

Unbelievably easy to transition to this shape. The sound is incredible (no “clacking”) and my picking accuracy has improved dramatically. Definitely worth it!
