They sound fine

I'm not sure it's substantially better than a plain pick, it will be interesting to see how they wear. $5 each is pretty pricey. I always play with a standard pick held sideways, using the round corners. The radius is similar, and feels nice for flat picking or strumming. Also they are easy to hold and keep straight.

Four For Now

I tour with a legacy folk group, and am always looking for the perfect plectrum to switch between rhythm and lead. This just may be the one…I’ll tell you after the next tour! But please make ‘em in white for old eyeswho might drop one on a dark stage…

FlexGrip Picks in Action

I really like the feel and size of the Woodtone Flexgrip picks—they exceeded my expectations! While I’ve always been a fan of Zager picks, these are even better due to their thinner and slightly larger design. As a campfire strummer, I’m not a professional, but these picks make it noticeably easier to keep a steady grip. Excited to see what Woodtone comes up with next!

.Flexes a bit too much. Tone needs more clarity. But I chose the wrong product for flatpicking.

Above

Thanks for your review David!

It sounds like you probably prefer extra heavy picks and that's great! However, we actually do love our FlexGrip triangle picks for flatpicking. At .78mm, they have just the right thickness to get a full and natural tone picking individual notes and strumming -- not too thin and not too thick.

We've found that extra heavy picks can be a bit clunky, and they oftentimes produce a clacking sound when they make contact with the strings. Also, in our opinion, very thick picks take some feel away when strumming and they usually produce a harsher tone when strumming...this is our conclusion based on a lot of testing anyways!

Having said all that, everyone has their own preference and that's all good. Thanks for trying them out though!

Very nice picks

I like these. They have a slightly duller sound so not as chimey. They also seen very durable. Subtle difference between round and pointed tips.

Fine by me

I bought them on a whim and I quite like them! I think it’s the tone as I haven’t paid attention to the holes one way or another. Grip is good, doesn’t slip, for me. Thickness fine for strumming or picking. Tried them on impulse, triangles. I will likely try the Rounded Diamond and another set of triangles. I’ll let you know if my option changes after a few more gigs. Thanks for a good product. It’s the tone.
